Yes, it's a great sonnet. But what is it saying?
It seems my eyes do see best when I am sound asleep,
For during the day I see what I do not care for.
When you are in my dreams, I do wish to keep
My eyes closed forever just to see you more.
For even your shadow makes the darkness shine,
So how would you appear during the day
When you glow brighter than the sun, fine
Like diamonds? I can only pray
To look upon you in daylight, to be blessed
By your beauty, to be able to say
I can see you, though when I rest
Your lovely image does come my way.
Every day is a dark night without you,
My nights are bright with dreams of your lovely view.
